We're seeking a driven, results-obsessed Sales Manager to build and lead our sales team from our new Medellin office. The team sells premium residential moving services to customers across the United States. Moving is stressful, and winning the customer takes more than software: we need quick-thinking problem-solvers who connect with people instead of reading scripts. Your job is to build that team, create the playbook, step into complex deals, and own the numbers.
You're the first leadership hire in this office, and the plan runs through you: sales team first, then recruiting and HR, and eventually full moving operations serving customers here in Colombia, part of our vision of 10 locations by 2033. If you're hungry for the upward move and want to build from the ground up rather than inherit, this is your seat.
In your first year, you will build the founding team and playbook, and drive the team to:
- $1.25 million USD in annual booked revenue per sales employee
- A 45% conversion rate
- An $1,800 average job size
- Our 4.9-star Google rating maintained, with reviews collected on 45% of jobs
Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership - Recruit, train, and coach the reps; run weekly team meetings; hold the team accountable to clear expectations
- Direct Sales & Key Accounts - Step in on complex, high-value moves and sell alongside your team, including cold calling and business development
- Sales Systems & Playbook - Build the consultative playbook, training, and onboarding the team runs on, and keep improving the process from first inquiry to booked move
- Metrics & Forecasting - Monitor sales metrics and forecasting, and report monthly and quarterly performance to leadership
This role reports directly to the Integrator.
Work Environment: Full-time, in-office in Medellin. You'll work US Pacific Time business hours (2 to 3 hours behind Colombia: a late-morning start and an evening finish), with overtime during peak moving season, plus quarterly travel to our Portland headquarters for leadership meetings and training.
Qualifications:
- English at C1 level or better; every customer conversation is with US clients
- Resourcefulness above all: you figure things out without a playbook and think on your feet
- A verifiable track record of sales results; be ready to walk us through the numbers, deal by deal
- You've led people to a measurable result and can tell us exactly what the team hit
- A natural connector who listens, adapts, and solves rather than pushing a script
- Full comfort with outbound: cold calling and business development
- A valid US visa for business travel (B1/B2 or similar); visa wait times in Colombia exceed a year, so we can only consider current visa holders
- Legal authorization to work in Colombia
Nice to have:
- Experience working inside a US company
- B2B or complex B2C sales; moving, logistics, or home services a plus
- CRM systems and experience building playbooks or training programs
How we hire: We use the Topgrading method: a structured interview through your career chronologically, and finalists arrange reference calls with former managers. If you're proud of your track record, you'll enjoy it. To apply, include the two sales results you're most proud of, with the actual numbers.
Compensation: Total monthly compensation of $2,200 to $3,800 USD, structured as a base plus monthly performance bonuses tied to sales results. Placement within the range depends on experience and performance.
